Donniebrasco1 No is not, it was 10 days incubatinc+ 4 days only in fruiting, so 14 days in total but it is looking kind of gray ish, smells ok though
If you can afford to let it sit around, I'd recommend more misting and keep an eye on ambient temp in the room it's in... If it's still stalled after another week or so, bury it.
If you have a moisture prob. Prob it check the moisture content. I had a grow do that I checked the moisture content in the block of substrate it was kind of dry. If the prob reads that it’s to moist. Use poly fill (just don’t shove to much in a little goes a long ways) for your vent holes not Micropore tape. And set it on a seed pad for a while

What will colonize quicker? Leyering grain and substrate or mixing it together?

This is a good question so one winter I experimented with this idea. I notice with grains that are bigger like corn mixing is best results. Smaller like rice or millet thin layers can be fast but mixing also gives faster coverage but you do get clumps of grain if not mixing very good. I also do pseu... View More

Depending on how it’s growing, sometimes I won’t at all but that is a fairly vigorous culture. And occasionally bust open a nasty jar lol
