But again another reason why I have been staying under the radar and keeping it all small for my own use only or anyone I train with in the fighting world. No selling and none of that BS……working in the industry there were hard rules of conduct I have followed no matter what it was, NO kids involved period.

Also got a free birthday drink of my favorite IPA Space Dust Hazy. Caught up with my fellow cooks at the old chow hall I use to work out being the “school of infantry.” One of my cooks who trained under me got promoted up and is now transferring to a better kitchen. She started out as just a server and eventually took on the entry cook position and learned under me. I’m amazed at how much of an impact I made, also my closest colleague who is a baker is filing a grievance because my operations manager was trying to force her to come in to work under the influence of certain medications but I’m glad she stood her ground and cited USMC policies which also applies to us civvy cook or other DOD personnel. Other than that I looked back at some old photos from 2018 and saw myself playing Soviet pool in Ukraine with my cousin, I turned 20 years old in the motherland 8 years ago. I don’t see this as a coincidence, only a sign for more exciting things coming into my life. But playing pool and getting better at it is now on my routine list. Great way to socialize, same drink prices as 711 for occasional enjoyment and a way to get better at a game based on mental endurance which does help with my hand eye coordination for BJJ. My advice to any of you is this, if you ever suffer burnout or experience loneliness find yourself good friends or be close with amazing colleagues who got your back. Lastly don’t do the same exact thing every week, add something extra to have fun at. Saturday’s are now a time for me to go shoot pool, enjoy a drink or so and get to know other professionals trying to do the same as me. Live life! Mush love and I’m thankful for always doing my best to live a good life.

View MoreWell it’s crazy, can’t believe I’m 28 now………again hearing from all of the old timers here I understand what you guys mean when time really flies and how much it changes us depending on events. After being so career focused in the kitchen I have been suffering massive burnout, I was also taking on way to much than what I should have as the other chefs take their sweet time. However, I have earned the title chef while making some of the best marinated grilled chicken, from what one of my Chefs told me they only come for my chicken so you must be doing something right. Besides it being a protein source it’s really delicious and very juicy. Goes well with the pasta bar and many and other specialties. Though taking on a heavy load without getting much help did take a toll on me, I communicated with my GM and team where we had to get everything all sorted out……now I got the extra help that I need. Mental health is a real thing, if seriously burned out you lose the desire into doing anything that you enjoyed doing. I tried to grow some plants but sadly I do believe that energies transfer to plants from us as cultivators and I ended up losing them. I know for a fact it’s probably the soil, great for transplant soil for my 5 gallon container, but not ideal when starting up new ones. Going to do things right and grab some fox farm soil but only use it for starting out a plant into a red cup. Once it’s time to transfer then I’ll use the Lowe’s potting soil or miracle grow. Also found some local seed banks in my home state which will make starting up again easy. My goal and focus now is schedule prioritization, switching routines up and staying healthy. Going to bed early and waking up at 5:30am to do BJJ is my goal to better consistency. That way I have it done before going to work and then focus on taking care of home stuff with the ability to mentally reset. One day at a time is what I have been told by my amazing colleagues and to keep having faith in a higher being. I’m thankful to be alive to this day compared to my peers who made bad choices and died early in life. Never taking this life for granted, Mush love and thank you for listening to me as always fam! Mental health is a big reason why we are here, but the fact that I have been in a really bad place that I can’t even heal with the mushrooms was telling me I had to demand change and make change all in one go. Again just treatment not a cure and sometimes you have to say not this time but once I feel better I journey back in and get projects worked on again!

View Morehttps://fox5sandiego.com/news/local-news/sdso-arrests-narcotics-vista/amp/As much as it was ok to be open about this stuff during the chaotic years of Covid to post recovery it looks like the Matrix changed the rules up……I think the one law allowing shoplifting and certain drug possessions went back to a felony through voter action from what I know. Knowing this has happened in my own backyard I’m glad I started to pick up on the changes sooner and took time off from any research while working on plants and gourmets. I guess the medicines intuition lives with me, for the most part I learned how to just not entertain getting caught up lol regardless I don’t and will not ever promote the sales of these medicines, I think the medicine does have it way of getting one in trouble that is abusing it or handing it out for the wrong reasons. For me I claim for spiritual health and use only which falls under the first amendment protections but knowing that those intentions are pure I believe the mushrooms do utilize divine intervention for those that earned it. Mush love and stay safe out there……

View MoreTook a moment one day in the silence of my room to meditate and aim for myself to see flashbacks from the time period I was 21 to now my age 27………it’s crazy how the mushrooms from that time point changed my life and led me to where I’m at now. As for frequently using it including microdosing I’m going to be honest it has been very minimal if not rarely. Part of it is my work life has been a big one……always have to be clear headed and focused. However, even when I get days off…..I’m dealing with serious burnout where the desire to do anything at all leaves. Though once I do take a dose when I can it does help a lot, but I understand that I got to make my doses count. Also for the most part it’s been me running errands and keeping up with responsibilities along with dedicating time to BJJ which I usually do when I’m off of work. On the bright side I nailed fruiting block tek with simple wood pellet pasturization and soy hulls. However, I’m switching to wheat bran for cost efficiency. Now that I can cultivate gourmets and actives I feel complete as a mycologist. However, it only gets more exciting when I interact with new types and of course other researchers in the community. Now I will say one thing, I don’t take the free time I had when I learned how to be a Mycologist and of course growing my cannabis plants for granted. I enjoy cultivating my own medicines and being around nature. But more importantly the community……even in BJJ I’m very reserved and don’t interact with a lot of people because I look for authenticity….here at DMT World and the Psychedelic community In general authenticity shows itself to me and that’s because with the medicines you can’t hide who you really are….you really show how real of a person you are. Mush love!

View MoreAnother flush of pink oysters, now I have it dialed in I can definitely share some with anyone I’m close with. Dried a bunch too, you can easily chop em up and throw them into any dish for increased flavor and benefits! All I have to say is I’m thankful that the pasteurized bag tek worked amazing and is giving similar results that the sterilized bag tek would have provided. It goes to show that it can be easily done and proves how versatile using recycled plastic mushroom grow bags can be. All it needs is a change of substrate and the right spawn to go with it! All types can fit on a shelf and results are proven to be 100% successful! Also checked on my sawdust spawn jars inoculated with pink oyster stumps. I have to say I’m quite impressed with how the mycelium took over the first layer part. Once I get the jar fully covered it be ready for another run! Basically you can get a cycle going forever using just 6qt jars with only having to use a pint of spawn to sub making that 12 bags made which can regularly produce and flush well! Either way looking forward to growing more when ready. I know next project is to get more of the other varieties done!

View MorePink Oyster as a gourmet has grown on me deeply, looking forward to those 6 jars growing out so I can make 12 more bags of this amazing fruit! Now I can focus on getting everything else taken care of and eventually have a gourmet mushroom garden going! But I’m very thankful that pasteurization fruiting block tek works amazing! However, I’m switching to wheat bran for being more cost effective. But now that I got the process down I can grow all types of delicious gourmets! Mush love. As for sterilization it will only be grains and the agar plus anything else that’s not a dense fruiting block lol Also with this experiment I wanted to show how versatile mushroom grow bags are. You can use them as grain bags, gourmet fruiting blocks and mix up your coco coir with actives and grow them out! Extremely versatile and accepted in the recycling bin after use. Perfect for someone that only has one shelf, small space and more importantly cost effective for continuous growth. Plus the bags are automatically set up for easy FAE that there is zero need to fan, all you got to do is mist during fruiting stage for all mushrooms! My only regret is that I didn’t grow gourmets sooner, now I’m thankful I got the process down!

Honestly looking forward to my shelf being a good source of food. It’s amazing how my gourmets are doing well in the pasteurized fruiting bags made with masters mix. Also seeing the fruit grow out well and still flushing more due to this amazing heat wave and my constant misting is a plus. A lot like cubes being heat loving varieties! I’m definitely ready to make some new active bags, but of course limited amounts since I still have a pile I’m going through lol. Regardless I love all mushrooms and they indeed love me back! Mush love.

Next project I’m getting to is golden oyster. For new inoculations for a continuous cycle I’m going to be doing it the low tek way for all Oyster varieties. It’s impressive that all I have to do is pasteurize some wood pellets in a jar while inoculating it with just the butts of the fruit! No more work that needs to be done except keeping the cycle going and making more pasteurized bags! Also the point of me demonstrating this tek is there is zero excuse for anyone not wanting to get into mycology. All you really need is an electric kettle, a case of mason jars, hardwood fuel pellets, wheat bran or soy hulls and a fruiting body of pink oyster or grain spawn to go right into the bags! As long as you cut the butts of the stem inoculate new jars the cycle will forever continue! I do have Lions Mane on Agar which the next project is I need to inoculate some grain so I can definitely spawn it out to bags. I’m also curious if doing the stem butt method would work for lions mane…..all up for experimentation!

View MorePink Oysters have definitely grown on me, now that I have a cycle established using the butts of the stem to inoculate my sawdust jars I won’t have to worry about having to do so much extra work for acquiring a regular food source! The goal now is to get all of the other oyster strains I have to grow out so I can repeat this same method. The point I’m trying to prove as well is that you don’t need to have fancy equipment to start growing your own gourmets. All you need is a fruiting body, then you pasteurize your wood pellets in a quart jar. Take the chopped stem butts from your harvest and shake it into your easily prepped jars. Depending on the strain or how hot it is growth doesn’t take long and one jar makes 2 bags! For that it’s easy, 1 pound of wood pellets to a pound of soy hulls with 5 cups of boiling water. Shake it all up in the bag, fold the flap over and let it cool overnight. For wheat bran I heard 1 cup works best for oysters and 1/2 cup works on lions mane. Either way all easy and accessible method! I’m definitely going to experiment with the other wood lovers and see if it does the same as the Oysters! All I can say is this, I’m thankful I can do mycology every moment, on hard days of my life do the easy low tek method. If I have time for everything involving sterile work I maximize that whole time period for everything needed to be done! Stay tuned for more!View less
