Look up bucket tek. Just coir, vermiculite, and boiling water. I use 633 gm coir(one brick) one quart of vermiculite, and one gallon of boiling water. Best advice I can give you, learn Agar and the potentiality of having perfect Mycelium with good sterile practices will be there for you. You don't have to do transfers, just innoculate a plate from MS and then put it to use! Only time I would transfer is to duplicate the plate.
