In myself and others.Just to be clear, i will just think out loudly without claiming any authority of knowledge, so don't get triggered please.Have you ever talked to someone who is deep into conspiratory thinking who does not use cannabis? I have met people who use cannabis who are not into conspiratorial thinking. But i have never met one conspiracy person who does not smoke weed regularly. So these are just my observations.They lead me to 2 opposite conclusions, and i would love to invite you to add more if you have ideas.1 To much cannabis makes you paranoid and anxious which leads to a world view in which you have no control over the reality in which you live and everything is pre programmed by "them"2 smoking cannabis can open your mind to see that these things go on and they can "enlighten" you to the fact that everything is a game of cards. and i have heard both explanations out in the world and to me, both are unsatisfying to be honest.also i think that people who believe that every little thing that happens on this planet is managed by pedophile reptilian overlords, might actually wish for that to be true because they feel so overwhelmed by the sheer endlessness of possibilities of life and they wish for someone to be in charge. may it be "god" or "them" or "atman".. to me it all boils down to coping mechanisms for dealing with life and death. the absolute unpredictability of life. the sense that "they" control everything seems almost soothing to me, because you can externalise and project all your inner darkness onto "them".. they are the bad guys, i would live out my dreams but "they" make it impossible for me because "they" control the world and thus i cannot live my life in a good way, or they way i wanted to.. almost like an excuse to not live fully.on the other hand, one could argue, that that is very naive. that there have been conspiracies before, and always will be. which i personally find absolutely plausible.i think things are never black ot white.thoughts? mush love
