View Moreso I started my p.e. and APE at the same time in substrate 1/8/22 and the p.e. is pushing pins up now but my ape is still not finished colonizing the substrate so my question is does APE just take longer or what's going on? there's a good bit of water laying on top of the substrate could that be the issue? if so could I just soak it up with a towel or pipette?

View Moreso I just got done making 4 shoe boxes- two P.E. and two APE but I may have screwed up and that's where I need you guys to fill me in with your knowledge. I had 10lbs of substrate but by the time I got to my last 2 show boxes I was running a little low so I had to put fewer layers in. the last 2 shoe boxes are about 2 1/2 inches thick, is this going to mess me up at all? and if so is there anything I can do about it? I just ordered some casing mix to put on later Idk if that will help me or not but any input is greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
