It depends how you prepare them. If you know you won't use them it's better to let them seal in mason but overall I would avoid it

I just noced up 6 jars that I had sitting for about 2 months. (Yes I get lazy) but if they are prepared correctly, youre fine. And as you found out, they were not. Did you break the seal on them? Or maybe not ling enough in the PC at 15psi
Sterilizing the way most of us do, isnt what you probably think it is. I know when i think of something sterilized... everything is dead. But if that was the case they would only have one kind of sterilization. But you have heat, chemical, gamma... theres probably more.

Watch them new clusters to see if the veil breaks or starts breaking. Pick. Also probably good to pick to allow more room for the pins to grow.
Sounds like you got a good tek going on.
The smaller clusters that i am taking about were growing at the same time the one's that i picked its like they all stopped growing

A little cotton eye joe on a Mushroom tip. Lol. It happens more than you think. Fungi can be unpredictable at times.

I hydrate my rye berrys for 12-24 hours. Sometimes longer if something gets in the way. But normally 12-24 hours. Then pour in a big pot and put it on the stove. Bring it to a rapid boil and keep it there for maybe 5 min. The rinse of the water in a strainer. After that i spread it out in plastic bo... View More
