So im planning for my hopefully first harvest if all goes well lol, anyways! After dehydrating, whats the best storage method for long term storage of mushrooms?

I don't know shit about dehydrators. I have one someone basically let me permanently borrow. My buddy just picked one up on amazon for short money. Just make sure the one you get has an adjustable temperature setting.

I don't think the vacuum sealer is nessecary just dry tf outta them and store them in a jar I've stored them in zip locks for months with no loss in potency

Most seem to colonize in the dark. Some people just go right to fruiting. When it’s ready to grow it will grow, no matter what you choose to do.

or do you mean a media bottle. I used empty sauce bottles with poly fill in the lid before getting the proper bottles. they arecworth the money and save a lot of aggravation

I used to use mason jars and upgraded to 500ml media bottles (borosilicate glass, etc) and it's a lot better, but not as cheap.

Does anyone use a slow cooker for pastureizing. Ill turn my slow cooker on till its on keep warm. No, I haven’t. I tell you what though, tinkering with heat and time definitely eliminates contam. Haven’t had any issues with my subs since I’ve started baking them!

oven Pasteurization 160 to 170°f min 2 hours. I run for 4 to 6 hours. Rarely see contams untill secound or third flush. spawn ratio 1 to 3 works great...
