Does anyone use a slow cooker for pastureizing. Ill turn my slow cooker on till its on keep warm. Then Ill use near boiling water... have my mix in a bag then put a little water in my slow cooker keep my substrate in there for a few hours. No, I haven’t. I tell you what though, tinkering with heat and time definitely eliminates contam. Haven’t had any issues with my subs since I’ve started baking them!

oven Pasteurization 160 to 170°f min 2 hours. I run for 4 to 6 hours. Rarely see contams untill secound or third flush. spawn ratio 1 to 3 works great...
