I'm 36 as I'm writing this (will be 37 next month in May!) I'm from New Orleans, LA but have lived in California, and traveled the world for 6 months back in 2017. I'm currently back home for the next year before going back to California. I've been quite emotionally and mentally numb for well over a decade due to untreated depression and anxiety. I have no friends to talk to. I have become very withdrawn over these years. Now, you wouldnt know that when you see me, as I am very friendly, smiley, and like listening to others. I suffered a mental breakdown in April 2021. No one other than my brother is aware of this. That's when I fully realized something needs to change. I've recently started taking psychedelics (my first time back in July 2021) and despite the few times I partook (?) I can definitely sense a change happening within me, some much needed change. I feel as though I'm emerging into someone new, yet starting to feel like my old self, the one I used to enjoy. I believe as I progress through this journey of self discovery, psychedelics would play an integral part to this, and to my healing.Of course, as always, there's much more to the story. Quick update for those who took my poll: My brother and I didn't end up journeying on shrooms, as the weather down here has been a VERY HOT summer on record (we live in southern Louisiana), much hotter than usual and I didn't want him to be so uncomfortable his first time around. But thanks to all who chimed in I took those comments to heart

SHOULD I TRIP WITH MY BROTHER FOR HIS FIRST TIME, OR JUST SIT FOR HIM? ***PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION FOR MORE INFO ON THE SITUATION***
My older brother and I are very close. He wants to take a journey (on shrooms) and understand a little more what I feel. He's never had psychedelics, has never even drinked alcohol (he'll be 39 this year) so I'm debating this with myself because on one hand I can be his sitter and provide comfort if he needs it, on the other I feel this would be a great bonding experience. I'd really like to hear what y'all think. Also he claims to have a "mind of steal" but I'm just going to start him on a full eighth (3.5g) chocolate square. Hope to hear from you :) ~ Stephanie

Wow three days should be plenty of time. I always like to have the day of adventure off and the day after. Especially since i always trip at night lol I've taken mushrooms as late as 10 i think and maybe slept an hour before having to be awake for lifes demands.
