I'm 36 as I'm writing this (will be 37 next month in May!) I'm from New Orleans, LA but have lived in California, and traveled the world for 6 months back in 2017. I'm currently back home for the next year before going back to California. I've been quite emotionally and mentally numb for well over a decade due to untreated depression and anxiety. I have no friends to talk to. I have become very withdrawn over these years. Now, you wouldnt know that when you see me, as I am very friendly, smiley, and like listening to others. I suffered a mental breakdown in April 2021. No one other than my brother is aware of this. That's when I fully realized something needs to change. I've recently started taking psychedelics (my first time back in July 2021) and despite the few times I partook (?) I can definitely sense a change happening within me, some much needed change. I feel as though I'm emerging into someone new, yet starting to feel like my old self, the one I used to enjoy. I believe as I progress through this journey of self discovery, psychedelics would play an integral part to this, and to my healing.Of course, as always, there's much more to the story.
