Im actually not quite able to do that since i live with family. Instead i just put the little bit of liquid i had left on tinfoil to evaporate and so far it seems to be working fine. I figure it will be done by the morning and was going to scrape it gently with a card

I dont understand how added heat would cause the crystals to crash from the solution. In my experience reduced heat or a change in ph levels achieve this.
