I haven't drank anything with corn syrup in it in just as long. For whatever reason, soda was so hard for me to completely let go of. I never was at a point where it was all I drank, but I drank at least one every day for most of my life. I had my struggles with alcohol in my college days, but that disappeared so easily for me when I'd had enough. I used to think I'd NEVER quit cigarettes, but those also went when I felt done with it, too... Soda though, was harder for me. I still don't know why, but I am glad to say that today was THE day that I realized when I stopped at the gas station on the way home, that I didn't WANT a soda. I'm not forcing myself the way I would have to until my weekend allowance would come (I only allowed myself soda on the weekends for a good while). For some reason, it seems so silly to me, but also so exciting. I used to try to tell myself that soda wasn't THAT bad for me, but since cutting it out, I've lost weight, felt better, and been proud of myself for doing it! I told myself it wasn't a New Year's resolution, but it pretty much was lol. Anyone else rocking any of their goals or resolutions rn?
