I really appreciate the support. So, ive been growing shrooms from grow kits and am just about to start preparing my own spawn from Rye grain. I have a fair bit of information to get started but i wondered if anyone could explain in detail the process of expanding the spawn? How do I expand some of the first gen spawn into sterilised rye grain without contamination? Is it worth trying this as a newbie or leave once i have some time under my belt?Also, i will be using spore syringes i bought and wondered how many ml of it i should use in the inoculation. Is there a rule for size of jar/spawn substrate to amount spore solution? I heard too much can have a negative effect. Can i grow shrooms straight from pure colonised rye grain only?Look forward to hearing from you x
