I dont know wha... View MoreDoes anyone have any last ditch ideas for increasing the size? I am pretty convinced its the strain. They are the smallest mushrooms I have ever seen. All 5 of my totes look like this. I dont know what else to do to try to make them grow a bit bigger but I have been altering every condition I have control of and they fruit fast but tee tiny... I have harvested about 200 mushrooms and the total dried weight is 8 grams. What a disappointment.

All of my totes look the same. I used two separate syringes and 2 separate prints (used way too many spores, 6 or 7ml per jar. I keep questioning whether its myc or something else. Has no smell and it doesnt change color. I have exposed them to indirect sunlight and total darkness. Doesnt seem to make much difference, at least i havent noticed any. Anyone have experience using prints from the wild? Thanks yall!

Sanded from 120gr up to 2000 then a rubbing compund polish with my buffer. Sooooo much clearer than looking through the milky tub. If i could only afford one of those nice hepa filters i would build a flowhood.

I have a bunch of prints i made last year. I failed my first wbs tek using these prints, (cobweb mold). So i ordered some potato agar dishes, just came in the mail. I dont know whether to make another syringe to hydrate the spores then put to agar or straight spores to agar. Should i use as few spores as possible on the agar or a lot? Should i use multiple prints on the same dish or one print per dish or the same print on multiple dishes and how many places on the dish should i put spores? I am anticipating having to transfer to another dish once it gets going to make sure its clean but how many times should i transfer before i can trust i have a clean culture? I see so few posts on closeup images of mycelium grown out on agar and how to know the best portion to cut and transfer. I hear "sectoring" but havent seen examples. Is there a book or something with images on this? Sorry for all the questions. Im new to the hobby and i have read so many conflicting opinions. I want to get this right but also understand why i am taking the steps suggested. My common sense is much better if i understand the process. I really appreciate those of you that offer help and explanation. Everyone here is winning. Im new here but i havent seen a single rude comment. I love yall!

Wild to print to syringe pcd sterilized inside and out still air box rtv and 5/16 tyvek poot hole. I figure the dirty prints were probably just that, dirty. Ordered agar dishes. Any good "heres how you cleanup dirty spores using agar" teks out there?
