I don’t agree with this assessment at all and I feel sorry that you’ve been hurt so much that you come away with this conclusion. I’ve never been an abuser and I care a lot. There are many many ways for someone to invest their care and energy into another without it turning abusive.
"Abuse" of the verbal type is purely an emotionally interpretive concept.
