Please, can you tell me what is the component of the substrate that appears at the top of the photo? I see the same component in many post here.

This is just a grain that I will eventually inoculate my substrate with.. this is just Rye grain and Uncle Ben's bags.. once they fully colonized I will spawn to bulk tek with a manure Coco coir and vermiculite substrate

Its no poogod or anything but it's always worked for me.. the reason why most people say that is because of the experience that the home mycology Channel had with it.. I've never had any issues with it.. I am ordering from the PooGod tho and I'm definitely looking forward to using that

Dang why do they look so wet? I'd be scared all that moisture would collect contam, I mean i know you probably clean it up but still seems like a lot.

Actually moisture has to occur when sporulating.. I know some people who spray a little water down on their tinfoil before they set the Caps down.. I don't do that I put it inside a tupperware or set a bowl on top to prevent contamination.. I also keep them in a still air box and package them in a s... View More
