So I tried dmt for the first time a few weeks ago. I've been trying to make sense of it but cannot. Unsure of the dose I took but I took 2 large rips from a dab rig. It started hitting me immediately. I completely lost all motor skills and couldn't move, and the humming noise was so loud I thought I got hit with a flash grenade. This scared the shit out of me but as the visuals came on I calmed down because I have tons of experience with mushies and lsd. Anyways I saw incredible fractals appear over every surface I looked at. Then I had an entire conversation with my babysitter. Later to find out hed left the room and he said I didn't speak a word. I couldn't remember any of the conversation but it seemed casual and not super important. The lights in the room were left on during my trip and the whole time it seemed as if I was in heaven. I'm not sure if this constitutes a breakthrough or not because I didn't exactly leave my body into the "dmt realm" (I've been there before on mushrooms so I know what its like) but I saw visuals that cannot be described and hallucinated an entire conversation. Im usually pretty good at figuring out the message from trips, but I'm just looking for new perspective or opinions. Thanks!

Closing your eyes seems to be a huge part of "letting go" enough to pass through the veil. Thats why Dr. Strassman started using eye covers in his DMT experiments. Alot of users naturally open their eyes when things get intense and it would pop them right out of the experience
