Grain to agar? Does this work? Could you use one grain of birdseed or W/E to inoculate an agar plate?

Awesome. I've gotten a single spore sample to inoculate a large quantity and variety of spawn. If I get good at agar work now I could avoid ever having to buy one again.

I'm buying from willy myco if I buy again. I'd rather trade, but only if I cultivate something worth trading. I figure if I recolonoze I can get the most genetic expressions and from there I can identify desirable traits.

If it’s turning pink than it’s time to go. Don’t open it up. Just toss.

I didn't really have time to go to bulk with it but if agar can fruit maybe this will. It will be an interesting exp... View More

What was once old is new again. Got my first grow in about 13 years going, afraid I may have fucked it up. I didn't keep a close enough eye on temps. Turns out the dark corner I had my setup in was mu... View More

Be patient. It’s the number one lesson in this hobby. My jars took a month before they were spawned to bulk.
I'm glad I didnt touch it. Well, i did, but just to press the top of the rye bag down. I figured that volume of air was keeping the surface of the berries too dry. Pressing it down made condensation gather more easily and there is now about twice as much growth visible. The UBs will be ready soon, t... View More
