It’s a mutation that’s not caused by bacteria or another mold or fungus. I wouldn’t worry about it as long as your cake seems healthy.

Thank you!! I’ve done toastmasters a few times in the past. It was definitely helpful, since I was consistently going. The weekly practice does help with the nerves. I’m sure I can fit that hour into my schedule weekly, it’s probably smart to make that part of the plan, practice and patience.
