In 2016 I found myself in the darkness of depression, l had no idea at the time of the journey that got me there but I was there in the tick of it. I would be driving along the road and want to just roll the car, drop the kids off at school and ball at the failure I had become. My temper was frayed and was constantly on simmer. Some poor chap made the mistake of pushing in front of me.... if it weren't for the look of my wife and kids over his shoulder I wouldn't of stopped. This was not me and I needed to get better, I wanted to get better.

Then one evening while crying alone downstairs I stumbled across a documentary on netflix, then another on prime and I bounced from one to another, something grabbed my attention.... it was like a calling. Yes, I am well aware it sounds like madness but LSD called to me and I listened to the muted history.

There was a lot of noise at the time of my depression and I wanted to silence this, even if it were just for 12 hours. After asking every dealer I knew (shady past, I know a fair few), none could help, so I learn't the way of the darkside lol and the amazing structure of reviews, new currencies, coded messages etc...

Now this is where people tend to laugh at me. I didn't wish to find myself trapped in 12 hours of LSD with the potential for negativity and fear. So, the first psychedelic I had was DMT. I know, talk about diving in, hey. I blasted off and I would say I didnt really notice much of a difference but looking back it did change me, I was certainly braver. LSD was still calling.

My wife had studied law and he teacher spouted some story of some bloke killing his girlfriend because he thought she was a dragon, while he was on LSD. Well other than not finding anything on the internet about this (so much for case law), how many people would think 'fuck a dragon!!! I'm not running I am definitely going to kill it' - I called BS and choose to do it anyway. My wife sat on the other sofa while I popped the paper in my mouth and lay down, wondering what would happen and how it would feel. Fast forward an hour and a half later and the words come from my wife "look at you, you can't wipe that smile off your face, I don't think i have seen you smile in 6 months" - I had no idea I had gone that long or been that down but at that moment I didn't have any care about that it was gone.... it wasnt just gone while tripping, it was gone gone. The call I had was because I needed it, not because I wanted it.

So a few years down the road and now widowed at the age of 39 (nope I didn't think she was a dragon - it was breast cancer), just lost my rabbit tripping buddy and my grandmother in the middle of pandemic, here I am. Strange times hey.
