On these just vermiculite. I’m looking into using peat moss in the future I think. Just started on a substrate that seems to be doing very well. Going to carry on with it for sure.

I’ve just got back from work. I was impressed it was at 62°c (meat probe) after it had been turned off for a good 3.5-4 hours this morning. The internal bucket temp hit 97°c+. I made one in Spain just pc to plastic tub that did ok. This is hopefully my workhouse for now.

Yo big dawg. LC recipe usually are .1 percent nutritional value. Which would be .5 grams per 500 ml of water. Hope it helps

Would it be better to do the pasteurization in the oven? I thought that pcing substrates like that would make it more likely contam easier.

I’m not sure my friend. I was going to PC them. I steam boxed CV before. This time I was going to fill buckets and then PC for an hour or so. (The substr8 website says 160 for 90mins in-house)

A little update. The 1st half empty bucket almost imploded from the pressure. The lid accidentally shut fully. Attempt 2 and 3 and a little too much moisture got into the bucket/media. The cloudy one didn’t do much agar wise and the tester jars of grain are very slow vs the others so will write it off. Luckily I decided to split the spores up.
