Is asking about a vendors spore syringe quality allowed? Bought some, and they said they are not responsible for contaminated syringes, and wondering if they are doing a lousy job of making syringes ... View More

You have to take spores from a living mushroom, do you think its possible for a living mushroom not to have microbes on it? The vendor can take precautions to minimize contaminates when making the syringe but ultimately it is you who needs to get to a clean culture by working it on agar

No no, you can discuss growing them it's just discouraged to talk about growing them and then saying where you got the spores from because the spores are for microscopy use only. As for being adamant that they're not responsible for contamination, I think it is less to do with them being sterile, and more so to do with, you'll get many many people that will try to blame the spore company for contamination when it's more than likely something the customer did, and think of ho... View More
