Many such cultures may not, but I do. "Making others' lives better" fills me with great pleasure! I do not view hedonism as the pursuit of pleasure at anyone else's demise. That's a flawed interpretation in my opinion.
Peace, to me, is also pleasure. And worthy one to pursue of course.
