View MoreFaith:Just before dawn in the rousing of dream-time, When you're body is at ease, Will you rise to where–by evening, crooks think, Home away from home– The battered puppy lies who once gaurded you, that you protected, –Poor puppers? And to care so, and be cared for, but something now awry! What could be done With the whispers, with the shadows, the bastard in waiting? As his hungry, confused, yet positive outlook on life. –Is–who? One that swallows his pride in servitude, Always puts his worst foot backward, Sometimes nightmared, never dreamed with eyes shut. Picking himself up, his hairs stand on end. Fighting to sleep. A walk at midnight through a tattered dream catcher. And yet he still smiles. All the while. If religion were real that's the faith that I'd want The faith of a smile on a dog.
