As far as I know DMTWorld has no Software development team so they are probably stuck with the options they have from the stock social CMS

FennecFox oh yes very good point ! A simple but well thought filtering system such as "show me the posts of my friends or from groups I'm in that haven't received feedbacks/reactions yet" would do the trick for me. Indeed no need to overengineer and open the door to more problems.
