I’ve been trying to keep perspective. I see the ups and downs. I’ve seen the good coming back to me and the bad paving the way to better days. I’m trying to embrace the ups and downs as part of the journey. It’s nice to finally feel like something is happening. I’m holding onto my initial vision, but seeing other paths opening up too. Not sure if these are tests of my commitment to my goal, or if I should be open to those different paths. This shit kinda complicated ????

Just thought I’d share that. Would be cool to hear how things are going for everyone else too.

One other thing, the people I’ve been hanging out with don’t seem as happy for me as I feel like they should be. I’m not sure if they’re trying to discourage me for my own good, (I’m working too hard etc) or they miss me, but I haven’t been around as much as I used to be. They’ve told me to stop, I hope it was meant jokingly, they said to take a break. But I’m happy. I’m liking the fact that I’m finally beginning my own journey. I’ve invited them to join me, but they seem dismissive, they seem to just invite me to the same stuff. I want to do, build, grow etc and I’m loving it so far, even if it’s been by myself. I can’t understand why they wouldn’t want to join me, maybe it’s not their time yet. But I don’t want to sound egotistical, I’m not saying either is better or worse, I’m just saying I like where things seem to be going for me. I don’t think I’ve ever been happier.

It feels good to be alone for some reason, or with different people at least. Is it possible that I’m being selfish? I seem to have suddenly started down a different path. Although we still speak and I’m open with them about what’s been happening with me, I feel less inclined to do so after they’ve been dismissive, not as supportive as I expected friends to be. I don’t want to assume anything like jealousy, maybe they miss having me around, I don’t know, but I think it’s selfish of them to expect so much of me when I’m a lot busier than I used to be. And I seem to have been putting in more of the effort, too. Should effort be such a big issue in friendships? Have I not placed enough boundaries?

I know it’s a personal issue and you don’t have all the details, but I’d appreciate anyone sharing similar experiences. I’m sure this is a common theme, outgrowing friendships, growing, growing apart etc. I feel like I’m finally on the way to becoming somebody.
