View MoreLately I seem to be forced into society. Before I was living, not working a full time job, but meditating, reading, exercising, eating healthy, basically, the way I see it, cultivating and maintaining good habits for life and spirituality.

I’ve never wanted anything major for myself, I am happy with the bare minimum because I sort of made myself like that in an attempt to be able to weather tough situations that may come my way, and maybe also make myself feel better for having no ambition, but the thing is I genuinely see no point in life. I’m not unhappy, in fact I’d say I’m happier more often that I’m not. I feel like a positive nihilist, where I enjoy being alive, but don’t really see the point of it all.

Now I am sort of trying to make something of myself, mostly because my friends and loved ones see potential in me and want me to do well and make something of myself, and I don’t really see what else to do, apart from go and be a nomad and just travel around doing whatever, I guess experiencing things. Anything could happen, right?

Right now I’m surrounded by people who love and support me and want the best for me, although I do question how they would know. Would I be a fool to leave it all behind just cause it’s too hard? I look at Siddhartha, from the book by Herman Hesse. He left everything behind and went into the world, and sort of came back around full circle if I remember correctly. I may have to read it again.

I feel like this could be taken as someone being upset that they have to get a job and live a normal life xD I really don’t mind what I do, I’m a very happy person, I’d just like to feel a sense of purpose. I’ve found that everyone thinks differently about purpose, but couldn’t the ones who don’t believe in it just not have found their purpose yet?

I have been meditating too, looking for the answers I’m told are within, but no luck. Is there any chance I’m meditating incorrectly?

Does it matter if people live up to their potential or not? I’ve found from my psychedelic experiences that the point of live is simply to live it, which could mean anything, very subjective.

And what’s the point of having ambition when desire is the root of all suffering? I’ve realised this stuff is full of paradoxes, not saying this is one of them. Is there a way to get something without wanting it? I find myself visualising things I want while not really being bothered whether I receive them or not.

Thanks in advance to whoever shares their thoughts, as you can see it would really help me. I seem to be going through it right now xD

Even this doesn’t matter in the end, I guess I just need to get through the now. Although I do spend a lot of time in the now, which is said to take care of the future.

You don't need it to exist if that's all you're wanting to do is exist. The bottom line is, we all got around 80ish years to live on this planet before our bodies turn to dust, and our spirit goes on to another journey. Do whatever you want with it. No one cares. Nature doesn't care. I don't even think God cares. God may not even know you exist. God may not even know God exists. When we die, you will be eventually forgotten in time. So then what's the point? What's the point of you and me, what's the point of the human condition? What the purpose of life, what does it all mean?! You can be a virus on the earth if that's what you think. You can be a spirit in a human body coming to earth to learn about the human experience if that's what you want to believe. We can be creatures that have free will to think, create, love, laugh, pray, and even hurt and kill each other. We could be here to evolve into higher beings. We could be in a universal play. We could be in a living hell and don't even know that we are already dead.We could be dreaming ourselves alive, or be a figment of our own imaginations. We may not even exist! The answer doesn't matter. Because the answer wouldn't change anything, or change how you feel. There are only actions and consequences. You have your whole life ( however long or short that is) to figure things out, or not. You can create your own purpose or calling for yourself, if you want, or not. You can be a gypsy and live in a yurt if you want, or live homeless as if the whole world is your home, you can be materialistic and be fuckin rich , decadent and famous, if you want. Or you can be invisible. A normal Mr. Nobody It's your story. You live it and create it on your terms. I've found that having children purpose into my life. I would rather be in love and loved by another than to not. I've been financially challenged in this life and financially wealthy as well. Money comes and goes. It's not important in and of itself as much as it is a means to an end. It is important if you want to buy a house, or build a company, or own property, or travel, although there are many ways to travel for free. You don't need a college degree to succeed in life. It actually puts you in a lot of debt. But if you choose not to go that route, you have to find your education some way. You still need to educate yourself. Creating my own business opened up opportunities for my future. You will need something to take care of you when you are older. Unless you want to work up until the day you die because you don't have any savings. Life is a gift. We are precious miracles. I live my life with that in my heart. Life is good with a happy heart. Just try to leave this planet making it a little better than it was before you got here, and try not to hurt others.. Give back a little kindness to humanity and to yourself. Definitely to yourself. And don't squander your precious life. By the time your figure it all out, is when you realize half of it is already over. But you'll be alright. It's not really that complicated. It's about quality. You choose the degree.
