Twenty years ago I met this young, sweet blonde girl at a rave in Kansas City. She gave me some MDMA and we danced and listened to music and cuddled all night and then she invited me to her boyfriends missile silo house out in the country. I had a trancendental psychdelic experience on a few substannces and spent several days at this strange and magical (i thought) place before they invited me to come with them to California. When I got to California I found out they brought me along so i wouldn't get caught up in the bust at the silo of what the FEDS had argued included precursors for tens of millions of hits of lsd. The boyfriend had apparently set up his partner and that man got 2 life sentences with no possibility of parole. Yesterday, because of Covid-19 he got compassionate release. He can't get back the 20 years he spent in prison but now at 74 he can live in freedom. I am so happy for him and now i feel like I can share my experiences of that time without the worry i could accidentally effect his appeals in some way.

Silo#1

My first night at the silo started with a phone call at my work. I wasn't really supposed to get calls at work so I was a little nervous but as soon as I heard K's voice I cheered up.

"I'm sending a car for you, " she said.

"You're sending me a car? ok wow thats odd. but nice," I replied. I met her at a rave once and then she and my roommate hung out. but we didn't really know each other that well but I was young and I didnt have to work again for a few days so i fgured what the heck. When the car got to my work the back door opened and an odd man with a curly ponytail hopped out and asked if i was K's friend. He led me to the car and once we got in he offered me a folded up piece of paper with powder in it and some juice.

"MDMA?" he said.

"Don't mind if I do." i said a i tossed it back and took a swig of the juice. By the time we got to the gate of the property i could not see straight. but i was totally fine with that. The driver was punching in the code and i yelled, "how can you see what to punch when its all blurry?" we pulled past the gate and down te road to an incline. at the bottom was a the giant missile bay door and to the right a smaller door. He led me into the smaller door and down a tunnel which led to the kitchen. There was my friend K with a super tall older man that kind of looked like a mad scientist.

I said to him "hey thanks for inviting me, I don't think we have met."

"Well this wll be a good introduction. How about some ALD-52?" T offered. As he walked towards me I saw he had a small glass jar that was about half filled with white powdery crystals. He had an unfolded paperclip and he had dipped it in then was scraping the paperclip on the edge of the jar." i want to get most of this that you can see off, unless you want to go big."

"Sure!" i said overconfidently! "Bring it on."

He handed it to me and i sucked on it. we sat there talking for what seemed like only a minute or two and then all of a sudden i was on the floor and the visuals were intense. I could hear them faintly in the background saying, "is she ok?' and I couldnt get up because i was too busy peering at the rip in reality i had just discovered but i remember putting up a hand in the air and saying I'm ok!

After what seemed like a lifetime of visuals unlke any i had ever seen or imagined, and which i could never describe with words, i was able to open my eyes and someone said, " good god look at her pupils.

"Let's go listen to music in the missile bay," K said. They held my hands because i could only walk on my tippy toes very slowly while giggling uncontrably. we got to the tunnel and it was swirling like a mF. I had to crawl through it. We got to the bay and lay down on one of the several beds in this huge room lit only by pillar candles along the wall. They turned on Dead Can Dance and i could feel the anatomy of each note broken down into subparticles in my ear. I understood music in a whole new way after that. They played Deep Forrest and as i listened to African Tribal songs i felt at one with the universe. i started dancing. with moves i didnt know i had. it made amaizng shadows on the walls with the bouncing candle light. i think i danced for at least a day straight.
