Trip Reports
I've just worked out how the badge thing works and it seems I can unlock a badge if I write a trip report.
I don't usually write trip reports but thought why not, so here I go with my first ever [brief] trip report :D
Why not start at the beginning of my DMT adventures and write my first DMT experience.
The first time I smoked DMT was at a psytrance festival at sunrise on-top of a hill on a beanbag. Lush moment!
It was no where near a veil lifting experience but it certainly kicked all the acid back into full swing and I spent the next hour feeling like I had a tether ball tied to my knees and danced about on the hill with that sensation for a bit.
It certainly peaked my interest to explore further.
I brought some DMT home with me, recovered for a few days and then felt I was ready to give DMT a good go in the comfort of my home. A 'good go' by my standard back then wasn't a lot, so this isn't a breakthrough story :)
I went on a mission to find the best tunes to blast off with. I settled on Entheogenic Sound Explorers - Aztec Journey - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZB39uliVg9g [I highly recommend this track]
I turned off all the lights, sat crossed-legged in the centre of my nest (a mattress on the floor with more pillows than any one person could ever need), pressed play on the track I'd picked for my journey and sucked up everything I could from my vaporiser until the world started pulsating.
I found myself in a void of darkness. It was just an all consuming darkness. Nothing. Empty. It was very calming.
My eyes eventually adjusted to the darkness and saw waves of translucent light all around me. I was still sitting upright in the centre of my nest. My mind seemed somewhere else, but still very much aware of my physical self. I clapped my hands. I could see waves of colour ripple out from my hands. The sound echoed for what seemed forever. I could pull the waves back into the centre of my vision, push them back out again and spin them around. This was fun! The ability to control translucent psychedelic light in a dark void. Magical!
Not much happened beyond this but it didn't need too. I was satisfied with the playful experience I received. I was back completely by the time the track finished and let the DMT halo sit for a while.
I still love my DMT playlist from back then. Mushroom Lab's Flute Story is by far the best for the DMT afterglow :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GaX3Xf3dJg
