I just did my first agar pour today too. I used pitri dishes and had to seal with scotch tape. Hopefully worls alright. Im ordering some parafilm for next time though ill probably get down with the togo ketchup containers

Quick question I have a bag of sawdust and I believe that there is pressure treated wood in there. Is it okay to use as a substrate with a coco coir and vermiculite mix for mushies?

Does anyone know of this looks healthy? This is my first time making liquid culture. The coloring would be The malt extract but other than that I think I got some trash or debri in there as well.

Run it on agar first and see what you get, everytime i use malt for nutrient source my cultures look dirty sometimes they are and some times they arent
