@shogun i’ve never been able to experience pitch blackness. I’ve always seen swirling lights, To glowing lights from behind me.

@Patricia I just have this rarely while meditating, at some point a blurry light emerges and moves around, it actually sounds quite interesting having flying lights around you :-D

Sounds like you enter a Lucid State but shocked yourself awake.
One of the hardiest things to do is stay in a Lucid State. Because, you either fly through it to sleep or you shock yourself awake from the reialization that you’er or at the point of controlling (Somewhat.) your dreams.
