Does anyone else have trouble with contamination in monotubs during summer?

I pasteurize the substrate. Boiling water into bucket and allow it to cool down. I was putting some coffee and the grounds into the mix too. I was mixing potting soil with perlite coffee and grounds.

I had problems using coffee I found it would contrubite to bacterial problems. Now if I use coffee I use a lot less than I did when I first started out.

So I innoculated some jars of popcorn with spore suringes and they did not show any growth.No growth at all or some jars colonized while others did not. Does that mean my grain was not hydrated enough... View More

I would say some spores germinated and some didnt which happens with syringes from time to time. I would say start looking into agar, its rather simple and you progress quickly. Also join the shroomin 2.0 group as well if you havent already lots of great info there

Yeah, I just don't mess around with contaminants. I'd rather start all over from scratch than to deal with them. It just seems like it's more of a headache and a waste of time.
That’s play time right there. I’d cut from the 7ish o clock area just inside where it’s a thick white. And between 12 and 1 o clock
But do that shit in a Sab and away from EVERYTHING

thats not a bad sign that dude has going on a good fight - remember funghi have a imune system its just weak because he isnt in his natural habitat - trying to breed "hardened" shrooms is a good goal this is quite solid myc consider the infested envoirment - i would try to save it and breed it.
