When the fruits grow into the poly it only pushes it out of the hole, no poly actually makes it way into the fruit.

Ok good to know! I am leaving the lid cracked as well, and have a fan to the side moving air in the room. I’ll search amazon for some tape

Asura Jones you see the lid flip on this tote or the clear lids with the gasket? They have a recess in the lid which creates like a 1/16" gap. But I only use fresh air intake (tiny holes over mycelium) and no gas vents (2")
