They sell mushroom grow kits at the local smoke shop now. Also they sell spores. Is it worth it to buy the grow kit or should I make my own? I'm interested in growing my own mushrooms but I don't know what the best option is. Looking for advice. What strain is good? They have blue meanies, Costa Rica s, golden teachers, penis envy, and apes.

To get started with Uncle Ben’s it is easy, be sure to have a syringe of choice, uncle Ben’s 90 second brown rice only bags, micropore tape, 5 gallon bucket, coco coir and 10 pack of 6qt shoeboxes found at Walmart usually. It will cost you much less than a grow kit.

As for easy to work with strains you definitely want Golden Teacher, Blue Meanies are also aggressive and same with Costa Rica from what I heard.
