Why is DMT illegal???

So last night as I was returning to my body from the other side a question popped into my head. "Why is DMT illegal?" I couldn't stop thinking about it all night and I decided I'd ask the community and see what you guys think. What is it the government is so afraid of us seeing? I feel like there's a big conspiracy to try to keep people's minds in a cage of "sobriety". Like if you think about the way the rules are set up, they attempt to keep over 90% of humanity's consciousness locked up in a very tiny little region and mode of experience. They deliberately keep the knowledge that psychedelics teach us forbidden and prohibited. Psychedelics that have been used as traditional medicines for hundreds of years are only recently within the last few generations being systematically removed from the realm of experience. I think this is a tragedy and an outrage.We may be free, but if we can't experiment with our own minds and some simple natural plant medicines, are we actually free? DMT has shown me that I am not this body, I am not this mind, I am just a figment of my own imagination. I don't fear death anymore because DMT healed the fear in me. I know existence is a temporary thing, so it's best not to cling to it. What is there to fear? It's all in your head.This lie we call life, this universe and world we inhabit, all of it is our own collective consciousness experiencing individual dreams. None of it is real. It's a fantasy, nothing dreaming it is something. Maybe that's why it's illegal, because it makes you see how this temporary realm is an illusion. Once you let go of the fear, they have no power over you. No one can control you once you don't fear death. It is very liberating.Wow this got a bit long, sorry folks.
