So. We were going through some Native American relics that our family has passed down over the years. We can’t decide what this piece is (the only piece the hand holds) and nome of the old timers know either. I can’t find anything online. It has a hole for rope, cord, leather, or something. My first thought was a plumb Bob, but it isn’t heavy enough and it isn’t stone. It is made of clay. It is hollow, has a bit of rattle …maybe something inside, and it floats. Ideas so far, a bobber for a fishing net, a necklace focal piece, and that is all we can think of. I thought maybe I should ask the smartest group of people I know, so here I am. Any ideas? I posted a few more pics just for any enthusiasts.
