Finally have a vent hood so I can more safely run distillations -- yay! Tested it out isolating methanol from this denatured alcohol, first time doing it and holy fuck is it a slow separation if you want at least 95% purity! One degree above boiling temp and the vapor is already up to 7% ethanol. SDS says 30-60% methanol, unfortunately it turned out to be closer to 30 than 60. Had to set it up with the auto temp control to keep it going all day while I do other stuff. Happy my little corner is coming along -- sheets of acrilite and hdpe for making a box at some point, vacuum pump is on the way...
