Well only had like a quart of vermiculite left so i mixed it with peat moss, brf, D.E. powder, did my famous stove top sterilize and its going great. No those spots are not contaminants

So you use DE in your BRF? As in diatomaceous earth? Do explain your logic with this additional ingredient please.

Diatomaceous earth is actually good in my opinion alot of benefits, its very porous, holds water, acts as a ph buffer, etc.
