Posting

Q: What is acceptable to post on DMT World?
A: You can post anything dealing with psychedelics that is not considered sourcing of illegal substances by any of the members on DMT World. If a substance is illegal in the United States, it breaks our policy to post that content. That content will be removed and your account banned.

Q: What is the best way to post pictures?
A: The best way to post pictures is by either posting on your personal profile by creating an album or by posting in Vision Art. The reason is that if you post single pictures in your status update it will produce a series of posts which can be considered as spam. Please try to post pictures in the corrected places to reduce that issue.

Q: How do I post a trip report?
A: There is a specific section for trip reports called "Trip Reports" and you can post them there. This keeps all the reports in one area for all to read.

Q: What is the status update on the home page?
A: The status update updates your personal status. Its the same thing as when you are on Facebook and update your personal status. The difference is that this goes to the whole community rather than just those who are following you or your friends. In the future, we may change this feature if the community grows too big. It's best to not always update your status but rather post in a group or a corresponding section that applies to your post, such as Trip Reports.

Q: I can't respond to a comment with a picture or respond to a comment directly in my thread.
A: Unlike Facebook, this system doesn't allow for two-tiered commenting at this moment. You are also unable to upload a picture in the comment. You can, however, respond directly to a user by using the @ symbol and the user's name, only if you are friends with that user. This reduces people tagging those who are not their friends and harassing them.

Q: How is this better than other social networks like Facebook?
A: DMT World operates as though the whole community is one community, rather than just say your friends or family as it is on Facebook. Groups separate content by groups and can be made private to contain only information to those who are part of the group can see it, but other than that all of the information is posted in DMT World on the main feed. Additionally, DMT World is not owned by large corporation data mining your information for marketers. You can join anonymously, with an email that you may never use again, and with a persona or user name that no one can identify you with. You are also welcome to use a VPN with our network to mask your IP address. We also allow for the discussion of psychedelics, how to grow or make your own psychedelics without any issues. We will not ban you or remove your access if you discuss these things. We also encourage discussions but ask that you keep it civil.

Groups

Q: How do groups work?
A: Groups are a way to organize posts and content. Unlike Facebook this community is open. Any post made in status is shared with the whole community as opposed to Facebook where it is only shared with your friends. If you have a specific topic that you are wanting to talk about its best to post in a group as that information can be viewed under the group for future readers, rather than if you post a status update it goes to your profile and is no longer viewable unless someone views your profile.

Q: How can I create a group?
A: In order to create a group, you must either upgrade your account to Tribe Member by donating or naturally upgrade your account through activity points.

Marketplace

Q: How do I add something to the market and what can I post there?
A: Adding to the market requires that you have a Merchant status. You can update your account by supporting us on our Patreon page. Once your account is updated you can post services, products, etc that you offer that are legal in your state or country. It is your responsibility to take payment from your customers, and ship to your customer. If customers complain of your services and their complaints are founded, your status of a merchant will be removed and you will be banned from the community.

Q: As a merchant what can I post?
A: As a merchant, you can post a service or product that is legal in your state our country. No products are to be sold on DMT World without a 3rd party website or way for the individual who would like to receive the product or service so that they can determine what is legal for their state or country. DMT World does not exchange any types of currency for products or services and only acts as an outlet to share information. We are not to be held liable for legal action taken. Q: Why should I upgrade my account?
A: Each account level offers additional options to the network. As a Tribe Member you can create your own groups. As a Merchant you can sell products or services. As a Psychonaut, you can create groups, sell products, and also get invited to our private discord channel (a real time chat system) to talk with other staff members and fellow Psychonauts. As an investor, you are supporting the expansion and drive of the community, taking part in the development and direction the community goes. An investor doesn't mean a financial return as our only goal here is to create a thriving community. What it does mean is an investment into the community to grow.

A: You can stop this from going into your privacy settings and turning off emails based on what you would like.
