Well, I’m going to tell you my first experience with psilocybin mushrooms. The thing happened during a warm, wet night in the early summer of 2018. I went to the parties in my town with some friends, carried cannabis and MDMA in the form of crystal. And I had thought to catch mushrooms, but it wasn’t definitive. Finally, along with another friend, catch two grams. They were small and thin, I remember the cardboard texture and the taste of moisture as if I were chewing them right now. We just swallowed them with some water from a fountain. I seem to remember that I had already ingested my 1/4 gram of MDMA, which was of great quality.

Spent about 45 minutes, being surrounded by people, I began to notice how the ambiance began to distort, everything became more volatile, lighter, it was subtle but perceptible, an intense feeling of anxiety began to take hold of me, and I told the buddy that I would go for a walk, I needed to get away from people, the buddy didn't pay much attention to me, he had already experimented with mushrooms several times. I insisted with more conviction a second time, and we finally set out for a little tour around. When walking I noticed some numbness in my hips, legs and the whole lower body in general, also some wobbling. Anxiety gradually began to subside as we moved away from people, but it really was at a particular point on the street where, subsequently, my anxiety disappeared and I was overwhelmed by a sense of tranquility, peace and absolute joy. My sensation was like crossing an electromagnetic field, and feeling completely different vibrations, with a difference of meters between one point and another. I asked to my friend if he had noticed it too, and indeed he felt it too. At that time, we merged into perfect sensory synchrony, (remember that the two of us had also consumed a small dose of the same MDMA).

After that, the night began to flow as in a cinematic dream. Full of colors, textures, sounds, emotions, sensations, synchronicities and synesthesias. The first thing I remember was watching an iron fence shaped like spirals, and as I looked at it, the spirals started to rotate, there was movement. I also remember a strong synesthesia between the sense of sight and touch, namely the perception of temperature and humidity/dryness. It was like when I looked at something, I could feel it tactilely in the form of heat/humidity, cold/dry, chills, etc. I don’t remember many more concrete things, I guess partly because of the MDMA, I have a general memory of the night, but no doubt it was a magical night.

The effects of the mushrooms still lasted when arriving home, where when observing my dog and my cat, I was perplexed as my vision had sharpened and "psychodeling". To describe how I perceived the light, it was like everything was a painting. Saturated colors with clean and defined textures, high contrasts between reflections and shades, incredible definition of shapes even over long distances, no doubt a new world of sensory perceptions opened up before me, in fact, my visual and auditory perception has not returned to the same as before after the first trip of psilocybin, but especially after the second. Of course don’t say I keep seeing everything in my everyday life as on a psilocybe trip, but without a doubt my senses have been greatly enhanced. Although, I think I will speak of this better in the report of my second trip, which was much more intense, philosophical, traumatic, cathartic and also intense on a visual level but with my eyes closed.

By the way, to finish, the last thing of the trip was when I lay down on the bed and got ready to sleep. I was able to enjoy an incredible musical symphony inside my head, attached to some beautiful geometric motifs. My imaginative capacity was hyperexalted and the experience was superrealistic. Being more detailed, at that time I heard a kind of fusion music, between pure flamenco and traditional Egyptian and North African music. I was also fascinated by Maghreb geometry, Andalusian, and Arabic culture in general. Thus, the music was of that style, with acoustic strings like Spanish guitar, Egyptian Laudes, rebabs, etc. And the geometric motifs, based on the four, on the six, the eight, the twelve, the sixteen... Like in Arabic style, and with cream colors, ochres, wooded, earthy. A wonderful experience. In the morning, everything was clean, as if it had been a night of intense meditation. In fact, I think I didn't dream. And as I mentioned earlier, I was in a new sensory paradigm.

A collage of different fractal designs, trying to recreate the appearance and color range of those visions. On the right side, a photograph of an area of the walls of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain, which quite exemplifies the appearance of those visuals.

More pictures of various inlaid carvings on wooden doors from Cairo, that remind me of the geometric motives from that experience.

PS: My english is not very good, so I have been helped by a translator. So, excuse me if there is something that sounds a bit strange.

It is a potent combo. In the future if you can find good quality MDA it is better for mixing with psychedelics because of its longer duration. Nobody wants to come down on MDMA while on psychedelics

You’re right. But considering it was a low dose of MDMA, the truth is I didn’t feel the drop of the M.
