As the process continues of expanding consciousness, understanding what it is and how/where we fit in...I'm happy to share my thoughts on multiple experiences. Most recently, the journey to silence my thoughts and delve deeper into metacognition has been transformed by floating (sensory deprivation). I have now floated a total of 20 times since 2015 and wish for every person to experience the benefits this proven therapy has to offer. The dentist for which I was named after, was once a part of the physician group that researched sensory deprivation with Dr. Menningers in Topeka, KS during the 60s and 70s. After lax regulations forced them to shut down for fear of spreading diseases such as staph infection due to improper cleaning protocol, float centers are coming back...and with good reason.
Brain activity & physiology are affected in multiple therapeutic ways through calm meditation in a float tank.

I find this so interesting also. When you are in the float did they run any frequencies through the floating medium? Like the healing frequencies?

You can have calming music going, which I sometimes do at the beginning to help relax but I've found the more silent the deeper and comprehensive the effects.

I have never tried floating, but was always curious, but had kinda forgotten about it in recent years. Thank you for this thoughtful post!

Floating is great! Next time I'm eating edibles first.
