Thoughts on resting a tub for a couple of days before soaking for the next flush?

What would be the hypothesis for doing this? I myself have no idea why you would or would not, but my first guess is that if there is sufficient moisture content in the sub, it will be continuing its process of growing. I love an underdog that pulls through. I think I left it airtight for too long which got it off to a bad start. It's got lovely blue markings on it, I think I'm gonna have to give it the benefit of the doubt
