Leave it closed while it’s colonizing. Imagine all the dust/bacteria particles in the air falling onto the colonizing surface.. I can be annoyingly careful with this stuff tho...like you’re probably fine but,, what if?? ya know?

I went straight to fruiting conditions. BRF to bulk. I tried letting it sit for 10 days with lid on before. Trying this way this time. Next experiment is agar to grain.

This might be metabolites (aka "mush pee" ) but could also be bacterial. I would bet on metabolites. Wouldn't toss that out but others may have more informed opinions.

Metabolites for sure u have a infection hiding somewhere in this tub but your mycelium if doing well to protect itself from infection

You can fruit anytime. Cubensis are aerobic organisms. Air will not hurt it after it is spawned to bulk. Infact, in low oxygen and high carbon dioxide environments, contamination has a better chance of taking hold (*From RR's notes on cultivation)
