I like agar for examining the growth and easy transfers to isolate. It seems to me a liquid culture is better for innoculation of small grains but you need to go through all the agar steps first to make it worth it. And at that point, why not just skip the lc and drop your agar into grain?
But if you want to noc up a bunch of jars with the same isolate, lc for the win.
Lc for the win. Long as the needle is sterilize u got a clean inculcation. Grow the mss to agar then lc for a few days. 10 12 syringes... 8 jars a syringe. Plus they keep for 6months ish in the fridge. No condensation to worry about. But to each their own.
