I believe this is a smol bolivian torch. He looks like he isnt living his best bolivian torch life though. Anyone have advice to get this guy looking happier?

Yeah this last grow season. It probably got way too much water the first summer when i got it as a dry root order. This is the second summer i had it and ive babied it so the rainfloods dont ever get him. I didnt actually think hed make it.

Mine definitly have not grown optimally. So i cut the tip. Let it dry. Dry dry. And then plant the dried tip into nutrient rich soil. Do i cover the dried tip?
