Anyone else feel like the mycelium "talks" to you? More like, tells you when its right, when there is something wrong, etc? Day 3 since I birthed the first cake, day 2 for the rest, and all of them are doing well. Following a good routine so far and they are responding. One pic is from one of the cakes that had a big bacterial spot on it. I scraped the area off until I could just start seeing some mycelium. In the pic, that area is more on the top of the picture and it is starting to colonize through. The bottom of the pic is a group of primordia forming what i hopes becomes pins. Pretty cool to witness. So far, so good. I'm looking forward to grabbing some spore prints and clones.
