A higher consciousnessGoing Deeper, deeper, deeper...After a 3 day Spiritual therapy retreat, a man was on his way home from Victoria, the bus was packed, he had secured a seat at the back of the bus, to sit comfortably for the one hour trip back to the ferry, which would take him to the mainland. Taking this opportunity to sit and meditate on his reflections from the past few days. It was an unusual place to meditate, on a bus filled shoulder to shoulder with people, chatting and moving around. An audio recording of a guided meditation was selected, the posture was set, and the practice has begun. 12--->11--->getting heavier--->>10---> more heavy-->--following the breath--->The man was standing in an ancient Greek temple, there was no sense of time, no rush, no worry, no intrigue, everything was fine, this was normal, odd considering the situation. It was daytime, and a breeze was missing, the light was uniform, without any particular place to shine from. Yet it enveloped and soothed the body. Standing mere feet away, was a corporeal being, resembling a white angel with wings, no threat or fear was generated in the man upon viewing this being. The conversation started, a simple Hi was said to the Being, a reply came back, Hi! The first question was asked from the man, What is your name?The answer was Raphael. Then the man took this opportunity to ask a very selfish question of Raphael, " can you Tell my ex-girlfriend I love her"? Raphael replies in an impassive way, "Why would you do that " The man was about to answer, then stopped, the question Raphael had asked, was so profound, he was left speechless. The whole event took less than 15 seconds, the man awoke while the bus was pulling into the ferry station. Pondering the event, there was a sense of sadness, and the man felt ashamed, that he should ask such a petty, self-centeredness question an enlightened being.For the days that passed, the man sought advice from friends and mentors, finally accepting several things.First the time dilation, the event only took 15 seconds in his time, yet 1 hr had passed outside. He came to believe the question asked of him, was not of his making, no way could he have constructed this serious of events and the question of the question, which in turn lead to several answers, answers that shook him to the core, really deep. His conclusion was, Love yourself and help others. To this day, when the man awakes, he asks his higher consciousness to help him daily with this new life direction.To be mindful of one's self and be conscious of others, is to love yourself.
