Sky-WalkingFront, back, right side, left side.False Creek on a summers day, late afternoon, the sun is high above the inlet, a gentle breeze creates very small waves on the ocean water, Seagulls fly by, Canada geese sit and enjoy the company of each other. Along the pathway facing west, there is a line of Benches overlooking the harbor, a few boats bob up and down with the current. Sitting at one of the benches is a man, his eyes are closed, yet he has a very small noticeable smile on his face. The pure stillness of his body would indicate a form of sleep. The opposite was true, this man was not sleeping, his mind was on fire, for he was testing its limits, pushing his mind to a level of ecstasy, few can enjoy, visual manipulation was his game, and he drew his strength from the season, sounds, animals, people and the sun that warmed him. Even with his eyes closed, he felt the very essence of the life around him. The energy he commanded in his mind's eye was of a purple nature, he saw himself from above standing in front of the bench, feet grounded to the earth, arms outstretched, letting the purple energy flow forward thru his chest in a horizontal column out and over the bay. With a large inhale, he drew this energy back into his body. Than an exhale, he pushed this column out again thru his back, then to the right, and finally to the left. Now fully charged, he sent this energy thru his feet, into the mother earth, and with one glorious inhale, drew back the life-giving force the ground offers us all so freely. The man was ready, his sky-walking adventure was to begin. Every so slightly he moved forward at an upward angle, just clearing the large metal fence on the pathway that separates the bikes and people from the ocean. His object was in the distance, the Cambie street bridge, there was no rush, every single second was exhilarating, a freedom few experience, no tension in any of the muscles, or bodily sensations, little effort was required of this task, just the determination to be present, be here now, enjoy the pleasure of the unrestricted walk over the sea to the bridge. This is how birds feel, no need to maneuver the clumsy body up and down on the hard cement ground, the lightness was overwhelming, the air was cold and crisp.Strangely the feeling of falling or vertigo was not there, the slow movements, kept his mind at peace, rested, and relaxed. He was closing in on the bridge, the railing was near, thoughtfully, he slowly turned around and walked backward, looking from above downwards, seeing the Telus science world on the right, the casino on the left, and various boats also. Now on the safe side of the railing, he paused, looked deeply at the distance he traveled, there so far in the distance, he could view the bench, and be sitting on the bench, not moving, was himself! This world restricts out bodies, but our mind is free, the only limits we face, are of our own makings, a lack creativity, fears, and boundaries hold us within this realm of the physical. The belief we must touch it to believe in it, is a constraint, a hindrance to the magic that really surrounds us, no need to open your eyes and look.Close them and feel the proof of this, look deep within yourself, feel the heartbeat, the breath, the thoughts, the feelings, this is the magic, it is not an illusion to sit in and pounder, there is no facade, tear it all down, feel it. Growing, Growing, Grown.
