I cut a bunch of San Pedro a while back (Maybe 6-8 months?) and one finally turned black, so I cut the rest up to be dehydrated. The close up photo is a cut I made on an exposed root that leads all the way to the center. Is the section that turned black still worth using? I cut it up and dehydrated it as well but wasn't sure if this sign means the alkaloids content has been altered. Any positive comments appreciated.
