View Moreok 1st Youngster don't get frustrated what is taking place is known as a learning curve. My 1st recommendation would be don't use so much bark until you find a tek that works for you and that you are comfortable with. 2nd and this is just my opinion but you really should try and have naphtha I know from reading some lighter fluid brands have changed up slightly on their ingredients pretty much because it's slightly cheaper to make the only way to know for sure is look up the brand you have sds sheets online it'll tell you everything in it and at what % of concentration. ok so ill try and make this quick and easy you should have no problems getting a decent return from this. ok you need 1 quart mason jar or something that holds roughly 750ml. 1st place 50g's of powdered bark in your jar then you need 200ml of filtered water it's supposed too carry a higher level of ions not so sure I've used tap water and distilled water with no noticeable difference in yield place the 200ml of water in a non reactive pan any pans good just no copper and 60ml of white distilled vinegar bring to just boiling you ideally want and need to keep this warm the whole time not hot you need to be able to handle it. Add the hot water/ vinegar to the jar cap it and shake the Dickens out of it it will need burped while your shaking heat a good size water bath in your pan to keep the jar warm if you have a slow cooker they are perfect add warm water to it and keep it on low if you need to use a pan you will have to keep reheating the water remember no boiling you want it like a nice hot bath let it sit for at least 1 hr I prefer 2 and shake it often after the 2hrs heat to boiling 100 ml of water once boiling add 30 to 40 grams of salt to it any salt will work it just cannot I repeat cannot have iodine in it. Add the salt mix to your jar shake it burp it put back in your water bath my best yields have come from letting it sit at least 2hrs once again shaking it often. Know the part you need to use caution with im sure you know already you need 200ml of ice cold water that you will need to add 50g's of lye aka caustic soda aka sodium hydroxide im sure you know the drill add it slowly please and stir it do not cap and shake it remember it's exothermic it will create heat and it can create enough to explode if you just dump it in and go for broke ill tell anyone this add it slow enough it does not make the water boil I font care if this takes you 10 minutes your safety far out weighs how fast you can mix some stuff that will leave a mark. Also please do this mix in a well ventilated area it will give off steam that contains sodium hydroxide just trust me yu dont want to breath it.Once stirred add it slowly to your jar stirring the whole time it should turn your bark mix Grey then to black then add 140ml of cold water the jar should be gettin close to full place back in your water bath the tek says it's ready to add naptha after an hour once again I go 2hrs shake the jar gently often and burp it. after 2 hrs add 50ml of naptha always keeping it warm gently shake often by that I mean flip the jar end over end slowly you want to get the naptha to touch as much of the mix as possible without creating an emulsion flip for at least 2hrs then do your 1st pull and you are right don't be surprised if your 2nd and 3rd pulls are bigger im never in a hurry so I jar the 1st pull and keep the jars warm and flip them when I go by after 4 to 6hrs you can do your 2nd pull the 3rd you should wait at least 24hrs this is why a slow cooker is the bomb you can walk away and not worry about it constantly take all 2 or 3 of your pulls add them to your freeze precipitation pan and put a fan on it I make a mark on the glass with a sharpy where the starting level is you want to reduce it by at least 60% this will take awhile and it will stink bad those vapors can be flammable I put mine at an open window blowing out once you reduce it you now have a hyper saturated solution means Lots of crystals put it in your freezer at least 24hrs you can look at it but dont touch it Ive had pans start to grow crystals just from the fan blowing on it you should know the drill at this point. This should be good for you I sense that patience isn't always your are strong suit be patient and be safe not tek done hurriedly or carelessly is worth your safety I don't care what your reasons are trust me the world is such a better place with you in it. I taught one of my closest brothers this tek he was in a bad accident it hurt his mind he's mastered this tek that most times his yields are better than mine I wish you the best remember tho being patient and using self control may seem like a drag but there is a virtue you will get from it.
